Browse files

Files stay in this browser. Processing starts only on your device.

Ready when you are. Limits: 1 GB input, 256 MB per extracted file, 512 MB total.

Step by step

Create your ZIP in three steps

  1. Select the files you want to package together.
  2. Choose a compression level. Enter a password if you want an encrypted ZIP.
  3. Create the ZIP and download it. Your original files stay unchanged.

One archive, original file quality

ZIP packages multiple files with lossless compression. Extracting the ZIP restores the original file bytes. Text can compress well; photographs, videos and other compressed formats often become only slightly smaller.

Choosing a password

Use a strong password and send it to the recipient through a separate channel. ZIP encryption protects file contents, but filenames may remain readable. Keep the password: this tool cannot recover it for you.

Local processing, practical limits

Selected files and archive passwords stay on your device. Browser memory, archive size and compression method affect what can be processed. The tool shows its current limits and reports unsupported or unsafe archives. Use a desktop archiver for large backups, multipart sets or filesystem metadata that must be restored exactly.

Frequently asked questions

Does compression change the original files?

No. The browser reads the selected files and creates a separate ZIP archive.

Can all ZIP tools open an encrypted archive?

Compatibility depends on encryption support. Use a current archiver that supports AES-encrypted ZIP files.
