Open your archive in three steps
- Open this page in Safari, tap Browse files and choose an archive from Files.
- Wait for its entries to appear. Enter the archive password if required.
- Tap Download for the file you need, then use Safari Downloads or Files to locate it.
Finding an archive on an iPhone
Archives saved from Mail or a website are usually accessible through the Files app. The location can be iCloud Drive, On My iPhone or another provider. The exact location depends on where you saved the file and your Safari download settings.
Keep Safari open during extraction
Mobile browsers have less available memory and may suspend background pages. Keep the page in the foreground while extracting. For very large ZIPs, try the built-in Files app or a desktop computer instead.
Local processing, practical limits
Selected files and archive passwords stay on your device. Browser memory, archive size and compression method affect what can be processed. The tool shows its current limits and reports unsupported or unsafe archives. Use a desktop archiver for large backups, multipart sets or filesystem metadata that must be restored exactly.
