Step by step

How to package PDFs as ZIP

Select the PDF documents you want to send together.
Choose a compression level and, optionally, a ZIP password.
Create and download the ZIP, then check its size before attaching it to an email.

PDF to ZIP keeps each document intact

ZIP packages multiple PDFs into one archive. It does not lower image quality, rewrite pages or optimize the PDF itself. Most PDFs already contain compressed data, so a ZIP may be similar in size or slightly larger.

When an email attachment is still too large

Check the receiving service attachment limit. If the ZIP still exceeds it, reduce the PDFs with a suitable PDF optimizer or share them through a service you trust. ZIP compression cannot guarantee that an attachment fits.

Local processing, practical limits

Selected files and passwords stay on your device. Browser memory and archive compression methods affect what can be processed. Use a desktop archiver for large backups, split volumes or filesystem metadata that must be restored exactly.

Will this reduce PDF quality?

No. ZIP is lossless: extracting the archive restores the original file bytes.

Why is the ZIP not much smaller?

Images and PDF streams are often compressed already, leaving little redundant data for ZIP to remove.

Does this merge PDF pages or export images?

No. Each selected PDF remains a complete, separate file inside the ZIP. Use a PDF-specific tool to merge, split or export pages.
