List first, extract only what you need
A ZIP contains a directory describing its entries. Reading that directory can show filenames and declared sizes before file data is decompressed. Previewing or downloading an entry then extracts that entry.
Previews do not run archived programs
Code and markup are shown as text where supported. Executables, installers and unsupported file types must be downloaded and opened with an appropriate application. An archive listing is not an antivirus scan.
Local processing, practical limits
Selected files and archive passwords stay on your device. Browser memory, archive size and compression method affect what can be processed. The tool shows its current limits and reports unsupported or unsafe archives. Use a desktop archiver for large backups, multipart sets or filesystem metadata that must be restored exactly.
